Mezzanine Floors and racking incorporated

This summer we finished a large archive project for an existing client in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Our warehouse design project managers designed a two tier archive racking system to take full advantage of the 8 metre warehouse height available. This project is a perfect example of how a mezzanine floor and racking system can be incorporated together to fully utilise space efficiently.

With the full blessing of our client, our project managers worked with our experienced installers to produce a workable plan. Using a reinforced beam level at 4.1 metres our installers fitted timber joists followed by a standard 38mm moisture resistant chipboard to create a load bearing floor. Incorporating two staircases and all smoke detection, lighting requirements and bespoke access ladders to finish the job off to standard.

Using multiple storage solutions together can be very effective, but is often very difficult to plan. This system was perfect for our client because our experienced project managers were able to design bespoke shelving which enabled us to incorporate a higher number of shelves than usual. And with our mezzanine floor expertise we ensured the system we easily accessible.

  2. You see these floors a lot in warehouses and other places that have heavy traffic. I think they are really easy to make and it is really cheap. If you think about it, they use them in places like warehouses that are pretty cheap and they store a lot of products. It just is overall easy to care and maintain. http://www.swedeweld.com.au
